Who Are We?

WhidbeyChef is a Washington licensed Personal Chef service operating on South Whidbey Island. Our WA State UBI# is 601286146-001-0003. WhidbeyChef is fully insured. WhidbeyChef maintains a current Island County Food Handler Permit. WhidbeyChef services only South Whidbey Island. Available hours are from 10am to 4:30pm, with some exceptions.

After working in many restaurants over the past twenty years, both here on Whidbey as well as the mainland and Scottsdale, Arizona, our lead chef decided to move away from commercial kitchens to rethink the future. A deciding factor for creating WhidbeyChef was an illness of a relative who could not cook and clean for himself. Being that he is living out of state, he has to rely on local caregivers to provide his meals. He is also diabetic and requires a specialized diet. Unfortunately, WhidbeyChef does not service Idaho.

This person is one of many who are unable to prepare healthy meals themselves, and rely on others, who may mean well, but who are not cooks and have a limited menu of what they can make. This serves as an example of what WhidbeyChef caters to here on South Whidbey - a personal chef service aimed at seniors and those who are too busy to shop, cook and clean up.
